Sandra Walden, President and Owner, serves currently on the Energy Subcommittee for the Northwest Environmental Business Council (NEBC) and Vice President on the Board of Directors and co-chair of the Policy Subcommittee for the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association (OSEIA). 2008 she served on the Oregon Renewable Energy Working Group (REWG) reporting directly to the Governor and 2008-2010 on the Energy Trust of Oregon on the Renewable Energy Advisory Council (RAC). She has been a program and project director for more than twelve years and is an Oregon real estate broker with a background in mortgage lending, commercial sales/leasing and real estate development. As the Real Estate and Marketing Director for City West Development, she pioneered two residential loft projects located in the Pearl District in the early 1980's. Most recently, Sandra worked in the wireless industry where she helped launch pioneering networks for several of the major wireless telecommunications companies. In 2005, she created Real Energy Solutions as a spinoff of RealCom Associates, a full service System Development firm that provides RF Services, Program and Project Management, Site Acquisition for wireless telecommunications companies based in Seattle, in order to enter the developing renewable energy sector.

Philip Krain has worked with Real Energy Solutions since 2007. He is an associate project developer, project manager and analyst. Philip is specializing in providing renewable solutions in the wireless telecommunications industry managing the design and installation of our projects in Hawaii and in Oregon. Philip completed his MBA at Portland State University with a focus on environmentalsustainable business management. Prior to his work in sustainability Philip worked as a personal financial advisor, and was an original member of the steering committed for the Sustainable Investments Institute. Currently his forcus is in renewable energy as well as sustainability. While at Portland State University he received a Business Development and Innovation scholarship to the Copenhagen Business School. Following the internship he was employed by a Danish biogas technology startup for a year before returning to Portland. Philip has been an active member of the Sellwood neighorhood association, founder of Sustainable Sellwood Green Drinks and, as a biking enthusist participated in the public process for the design of the new Sellwood Bridge.

Matt Simmons is a Financial Analysist and the newest member of the Real Energy Solutions team. He previously worked with a variety of organizations in the renewable energy industry, most visibly as the Renewable Energy Apprenticeship Program Manager for the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association, where he facilitated streamlining the apprenticeship program and expanding educational opportunities for apprentices available throughout the state. He holds a dual masters degree from Portland State University incorporating an MBA with an MS in Sustainability Education (LECL). His professional focus is on project and program management, systems analysis, and financial management. At RES, his responsibilities include program management, financial and site analysis, and system and structure modeling.
Paul Slotemaker
Paul Slotemaker is an experienced degreed planner since 1996, and member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He has extensive experience assessing projects for permitting requirements and ushering project permitting successfully through jurisdiction processes. He works directly with the local jurisdictions in the Western Region to accurately apply the zoning code criteria that assures approval of development applications. Paul has also assisted the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association and City of Portland in zoning and building code requirement application to solar installations
